Tanja Lau

At Product Academy, Tanja combines her passion for continuous learning with her extensive background as a product leader. She has co-founded start-ups in Munich, Madrid, and Zurich, gaining valuable entrepreneurial experience that she now passes on in her classes and as a frequent public speaker. Recognized among the Top 30 Women in Product in Europe (2020 & 2023), Tanja has successfully coached product managers and teams at companies such as Google, Swisscom, Migros Online, Just Eat Takeaway.com, and more.

Before founding Product Academy in 2019, she worked as a Senior Consultant at Unic and later as Head of Product at Siroop, a Swiss marketplace. Tanja combines over 15 years of product management experience with a systems-thinking mindset and strong analytical skills. Her academic roots are in Comparative Literature, which still shines through in her love for words (yes, she keeps a super secret poetry account on Instagram 😉).

Beyond her work at Product Academy, Tanja has a track record of impactful side projects: she served as Head of Marketing for TEDxZurich (2015), co-founded the ProductTanks in Bern & Zurich for Mind the Product, and launched LevelUp, a mentoring program that champions diversity in product.

Outside of work, Tanja is an avid runner, a mother of two neurospicy kids, and an enthusiastic (if not always successful) gardener.
